Mysteron is a futuristic modular typeface that has been specifically designed for branding and titling purposes. Its construction conforms to a grid* with many repeating forms. This rigidity evokes an aura of advanced technology and futurism that would be perfect for your next sci-fi book cover, film title, hi-tech branding project and so on.
Mysteron takes its name from a fictional martian race from the 1960s sci-fi series Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. The Mysterons appear in the episodes as disembodied voices and green rings of light. With that in mind, I felt it would be fun to offer perfectly rounded alternates that break the rigid grid format for appropriate glyphs. These can offer a nice contrast in logotype or titles when used subtly. They are accessible by activating Stylistic Set 1.
Mysteron is a family of 48 fonts across three styles – Solid, Stencil, and Notched – in both roman and italic. These distinctive fonts should be used at large sizes, making them perfect for use in your headlines, signage, logotype, titles, and branding designs.
Mysteron has a character set that covers all Latin European languages and includes old style figures, fractions, along with superior and inferior figures.
*Optical adjustments have been made along the way to maximise legibility.
