My first ever font design – free to download.

Now available as a free download.

‘Carrigeen’ is a distinctive, hand-drawn, “all caps” typeface inspired by classic letterforms carved into stone and weathered by time.

In Irish, “carrigeen” means “little rock”, I felt that was quite an appropriate name for this limited version of the full Carrig Rough typeface. You can get the full story of its creation here – Carrig Rough. This font is the essence of what was created for the Co. Kerry hotel identity I created back in 1998.
